Mr Streets a watch maker on one side and a powder shop on the other"; 1857 P.O letter from the G.P.O to the East Yell Postmaster forwarding notices about the introduction of postal districts in London and 1861 1d pink envelope with "W.C" embossed as part of the address; 1959 Norwich post code publicity cards (4), sheet of labels and a label on card; 1952-54 Mount Pleasant sorting machine trials with red SPLSM idents comprising sideways roman numerals I, II, V, VI from April 1952 or II, III, IV (2) from 1954; red SPLSM II ident used at 1956 Radio Show or at Southampton in 1957 (stamp removed); 1958 London EC SPLSM ident 5 in violet; Norwich SPLSM idents with 1959-60 violet 8 or 16, black 16 or 31; Luton 1959 red 2 or k; Norwich 1964 impressed uninked 32; coding dots with Luton 1960-63 vertical square dots (4) or horizontal square dots; Dollis Hill 1963 booklet and air letter with trial coding bars; Norwich 1965 staff information booklet, sample tape, 1966 rectangular dots, raised white dots and a sample on paper, waxy dots (2), dummy mail with second type waxy dots (2), 1968 rectangular dots with ident E, double destacking stripes in blue and yellow, similar on dummy mail (2); 1968 London W1 black idents A or B; 1969 Wiesbaden comparison trial cover; 1970 London E.C ident A, circular coding dots (2), ident ?, upper and lower position coding dot experiment with ident K (2); 1977-84 London FS idents (3); also various photos, booklets, etc. A fine lot with many exceptionally scarce items, many from short lived trials.
