Worldwide Stamps and Postal History

1908 (Feb 27) Cover with "BRITISH ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION 1907" printed on the flap, addressed to Auckland, with KEVII Land 1d tied by the Antarctic c.d.s in green with a second strike alongside in black. This c.d.s used on the "Nimrod" on its return voyage, only recorded in the literature on unaddressed covers or covers to Kinsey; this cover addressed to a Mr Henson, the address therefore possibly added later to an unaddressed item. A scarce combination of green and black datestamps, very fine. Photo on Page 15.
