1908 (Jan 15) Cover with "BRITISH ANTARCTIC EXPEDITION 1907" printed on the flap, addressed to England with KEVII Land 1d tied by the Antarctic c.d.s, backstamped at Christchurch and Croydon. The first day of use of KEVII Land stamps and the first expedition mail from the edge of the Antarctic ice pack, sent back on the "Koonya", landed at Lyttelton where it was handed to the Christchurch Postmaster. Light vertical fold and a little minor creasing, otherwise fine and scarce expedition mail. Photo on Page 13.
