1976 180th Anniversary of the end of war with Caribs, artwork for five proposed 25c stamps and for a miniature sheet incorporating the same five stamps, each design superbly handpainted on thick card (135x182mm), depicting private soldiers in the 42nd Foot, 59th Regt. or The Buffs or an Officer in the 41st Foot, the fifth design bearing photos of the Isle of St. Vincent. The miniature sheet bears stamp sized photographs of these five designs, a sixth label with the dates 1796-1976 and the sheet border depicting a soldier in the St. Vincent Black Corps handpainted. Attractive and unique artwork, each bearing the handstamp of J.E Cooter of Stoneleigh (presumably the artist) on the reverse. (6).
