1867 De La Rue ink recipes, piece cut from the printers archive book of ink recipes showing imperf De La Rue dummy stamps in blocks of four printed in pale Antwerp blue or Italian blue, the reverse side with similar blocks in red (imitation vermilion) and pale yellow, all four marked for "New Zealand Postage" with the ink recipe shown alongside, all four inks supplied in March 1867, the Italian blue ink supplied again in April 1873. An interesting piece, the inks used for the 1864-71 1d, 2d, 4d and 1871-73 6d stamps, the red block oxidised, otherwise fine and unique. (4 blocks on both sides of a single piece). Photo on Page 195.
