This sale features the Judaica collection of Sam Halperin. Sam Halperin was a life-long collector of Israel and Judaica. His collection of Jewish related art work and old maps of Palestine is outstanding. Many fine lots related to the pre-1948 Palestine and Israel are also included. Most notably are LOT 209 (NAHARIYA EMERGENCY POST) and LOT 219 (3M-10M DOAR IVRI, IMPERFORATE BI-13 # 1-IMP TO 3-IMP).

Lot contains (1) lists of Jews and their families whom others are looking for (2) many HATZHARAH (DECLARATIONS). Over 100 items, most mss in Hebrew/Yiddish, Polish, or other languages

1943 LITZMANNSTADT GHETTO RED CROSS DOCUMENT Interesting 8"x6" original document from the Red Cross of Ghetto Litzmannstadt from 1943. The signer confirmed that Jewish female Rosalie Breitkreuz successfully passed the Red Cross health test. Two hole punches on right side. Very fine.

THERESIENSTADT KZ DOCUMENTS 1945 Three documents (5x8") pertaining to former female Theresienstadt concentration camp inmate, Ada Kleinova. Two written in Czech and one written half in Russian. Many inmates were staying in the camp after liberation as they were too sick or simply had nowhere to go. The Russian document allows her to leave Theresienstadt camp July 23, 1945, and return not later than July 31, 1945. Likely the Czech documents...
