Surinam - British Occupation. 1814 Entire to London endorsed by the Snake Packet and charged 4/4, with small size "SURINAM" fleuron (MA 16), ironed horizontal file fold with a tiny repaired hole at the left, otherwise fine and very scarce. Used during the Second British Occupation of 1804-16, only about six examples of this small size fleuron have been recorded, this being an unusually fine example. Photo on Page 193.
