Israel Doar Ivri postal history - 13.12.1948 postcard mailed from Haifa to the USA, franked 20mil Doar Ivri tabbed stamp, short paid (airmail postcard rate to the USA was 35mil at that time). Box handstamped added "insufficient postage....According to the written message on front the back side is a view of clock & square in Beyrouth Lebanon..The writer writes that the "Clock is 5 minutes fast".How the writer knows that the clock is 5 minutes fast ?? its not an actual picture taken by him..its an issued postcard...is that some type of unusual message (noted the word TIME is underline) ?? Searching the internet showing that Mr. Charles Ashjian (the addressee ) did lived in the Fresno address & ran for municipal local office in the early 1950s. VF very postal history interesting item.
