Phoenix Auctions Pty Ltd Auction #10 - World Philatelic Auction Nov 26, 2011
Welcome to another large & great Phoenix auction. It will be a busy day with over 2000 lots to auction.
Once again we are pleased to offer a very wide range of lots, over ⅓rd of the lots are non-Australian. and we have a significant array of cover lots. 2 big sections stand out. Firstly there is Rod Perry's Australian State/Kangaroo commercial combination franking covers/stationery (see Lots (#978-1037), the most comprehensive collection of its kind ever formed. Rod is consolidating his many collections, and other specialized studies will be offered in forthcoming auctions. 2013 is the centenary of this important and historic transitional era of Australian Philately, and with two formerly dominant collectors (the other Kevin Nelson) having retired from the subject, the field is wide open for new collectors to participate.
These are just a few of the many marvellous lots in this auction, we hope you enjoy reading our catalogue and that you find something to interest you.
Section 1 will start at 10:00am (Lots 1-578 - Collections and World A-Z)
Section 2 will start no earlier than 12:15pm (Lots 579-965 - Australian Colonies/States)
