VAST ORIGINAL AND INTACT WORLD WIDE COLLECTION IN 48 HEFTY BINDERS - COLLECTOR HANGS UP HIS TWEEZERS FOR LAST TIME a lifetimes work of largely all different stamps, lovingly assembled in lever arch files, and spanning the whole world from 19th century right through to the early 2000s, and collected as per the SG Stamps of the World, and purchased over probably forty years from fairs, approvals, shops and so on. On a down side, the owner was a long time smoker and this is reflected in the collection, however - all the pages are in plastic slip pages and are likely to be odorless when removed; As a fairly amateur collector, the mint we find is hinged, or occasionally stuck down, a flap through the allbums initially gives a picture of masses of low to mid range material, but we spotted some hidden gems throughtout, the British Commonwealth is quite strong and highlights incl. a volume of Malaya and States incl. B.M.A. $5 green and red mint, Singapore 1948 values to $5 mint, Kong Kong 1935 Jubilee set mint, 1941 Centenary set mint, better 1960s mint, India with higher values QV-KGV used, Falkland Islands KGVI 10s cds used, South West Africa Voortrekker sets in pairs mint, Dominica 1938 set mint, and on the Foreign side a volume incl. quite nice CHINA with better pictorial issues used etc. This type of lot would make a wonderful opportunity for collectors or dealers alike to break up or pick at.
