Japanese Occupation of China, Magnificent, Highly Comprehensive Collection. In 2 volumes, comprised of many hundreds, beautifully assembled and superbly annotated. The collection has been assembled in accordance with the 1998 Ma's catalog and is always parallel mint and used, quite a feat in itself when one considers the difficulty in obtaining many of the used examples, with approximately 70 lovely covers accenting this fine collection. Overall coverage is outstanding, and in addition to the dozens of better sets and singles present, we find varieties, retouches, unofficial but listed items, overprint varieties, etc. The first volume is dedicated to the large and small character overprints for the six North China districts, and is very outstanding in scope, while the second volume features incredible Mengchiang and Kwangtung, along with the half and full value surcharge issues.
