1835 A petition of young actors and chorus-singers previously flourished in Kassa/Kaschau (nowadays Ko¹ice in Slovakia) and Kolozsvár/Klausenburg (nowadays Cluj-Napoca in Romania) to two directors, unidentified in the document itself, but most probably to the poet and royal councillor Gábor Döbrentei (1785-1851) and the writer and politician András Fáy (1786-1864), the directors of the Court Theatre of Buda at this time, concerning their employment and the performance of a piece called 'The Captive'. With the signatures of the young Béni Egressy (1814-1851) who later became a renowned Hungarian composer and actor (whose older brother, Gábor Egressy (1808-1866) was a member of the Court Theatre of Buda at this time), Sándor Udvarhelyi (1815-1885) actor, singer, József Mátéfy (?-1848) actor, prompter (also in the name of his wife, the actress Mária Mátéfyné Csávássy (?-?)) and many others (8 signatures in total)
