1872 Italian Post Offices Incoming Mail (16 Nov.): Entire letter from Milano to Cairo send via Brindisi, franked with Italy 1863-65 40c. tied by "181" numeral and ”MILANO STAZIONE 16 NOV 72" cds alongside in MIXED FRANKING with Egypt 1872-75 1pi. also cancelled by the "181" numeral of Milano and a supplementary strike of the Alessandria c.d.s. Very fine. Mixed frankings Italy-Egypt send from Italy are very scarce as only few Italian companies had a supply of Egyptian stamps.
