Postal Note/Telegram: 1880s QV 1/- green Postal Note h/s SPECIMEN, with ½d QV Chalon fee stamp imprint similar to contemporary Post Cards, plus printed endorsement on reverse that it can also be used to frank an inland Telegram of 10 words. VF UN, light centre-fold. Extremely rare. Similar note with counterfoil sold for $2100 in one of our earlier auctions. (P) Estimate A$1000
