Six verse "The Red, White & Blue" address poem to the editor of the The Mirror in Bloomville, N.Y., franked with 1861, 3¢ rose (small toned perf spot) tied by "Meredith, N.Y., Mar 17" cds, poem not only direct letter to recipient, but urges him, through verse, to more forcefully espouse the Union cause…There's a building up in Bloomville, striped with red & white, Where Champion prints the Mirror, if I am told aright, And I've heard it whispered, tho' I cannot say tis true, The office and its owner make the "red, white and blue"…, Very Fine, a wonderful and rare poem address cover with patriotic sentiment, with 2004 P.F. certificate.
