China, 1894 Dowager Empress Mollendorf printing 1ca. to 24ca. blocks of four, good colours, the 3ca. with sheet margin at right and the 12ca. misperforated horizontally, the 24ca. in an extraordinarily deep colour, unused with much original gum, the 9ca. and 12ca. have typical brownish gum which slightly affects the appearance of the 9ca. on face and has caused toning or rust to the 12ca. A rare set in blocks. Chan 22M-30M.
