France, Military Airmail, 1943, Battleship Richelieu, 5fr on 10fr Vincennes, overprint reading upwards (Maury 5 var.), used in combination with U.S. 6¢ airmail stamp (C25), each tied on postcard by the ship's hexagonal datestamp "BATIMENT DE LIGNE/ RICHELIEU/ 22-9/ 43", which is repeated alongside, with the ship's censor's cachet in black, and the U.S. censorship handstamp in magenta, Very Fine, a rare postcard, being one of very few known which were actually delivered by the United States post office; 2006 Sismondo certificate.
