1872-74 - A mint, unused & mainly used collection of large shield Eagles issues from SG 16 used, through to 1874 2½k chestnut mint & used (5) & 9k chestnut mint, unused(3) & used. Some with expert's handstamp 'Brugger BPP' and many with small varieties, these noted on pages. A range of 32 values unused or mint the rest being mainly fine to very fine used. There are some with faults, some considerable duplication, and 5 contemporary covers incl. 2½gr on cover to New York from Hamburg Station (1874 pmk), stamps has corner fault.
