BRITISH CIVIL ADMINISTRATION 1815-1864. 1818 EL posted from "LIVORNO" (linear) with manuscript "Via Otarnto" and via "NAP 1818/15 MAR", arr. in Corfu with "ISOLE IONIE". Rate mark: "18" (18 gazzette was the rate on private single letters for any place outside the Ionia islands. Otranto (Taranto) is a port lying between the heel and toe of Italy.
