27 parale black on rose horizontally laid paper, a characteristically an octagonally cut round example used on small piece tied by BAKEU / MOLDOVA datestamp (8/10) in blue (Kiriac fig. 271). Ample margins all round, unusual for stamps from Bakau, and but for a minor thin in the piece, a very fine example of this rare stamp. Illustrated in Heimbüchler I on page 269. Signed P. Kosack, Bartels. Cert. Heimbüchler (1982) Mi = EUR 17'000.
Provenance: Messrs. Friedrich Peter, Trieste, 1900.
