1892 Unrecorded usage of the Kathmandu datestamp XVI (D76) prior to 1901: "Horse" postal stationery card ½a., v.d. Wateren No.8, used Kathmandu locally, cancelled by heptagonal handstamps, and with Kathmandu datestamp (49/5/9 BS = 22 Aug. 1892 AD). (Dr. Hellrigl specifies the recorded usage of this datestamp between 1901 and 1902.) An unusual item of Nepalese postal history.
