6 crosses on yellow with no. "24" and Ra. 2 "CARLSRUHE 3 Jan." next to it. (1857) on complete folded cover (receipt from the Baden pension organisation for 154 guilders) to a pharmacist in Colmar. As underfranked, Ra. "B.6 K." placed next to it, stamp (postage stamp) crossed out with a pen stroke, handwritten "reicht nicht" and postage paid with "12" Decimen.

Horizontal letter fold through the 3 upper values, otherwise fresh colours and original condition. An impressive and unique foreign franking. "57" and adjacent DKr. "HEIDELBERG 2 MAY" (1860) on complete folded cover via Prussia and Belgium to a military address in Lewes, Sussex; franked according to the 1852 rate with 9 Kreuzer association postage and 14 Kreuzer further franking (noted on face). Postage paid partly somewhat defective, but overall good and original condition. A very rare 3 colour postage paid and for this time scarce routing to England.

The postage paid corresponded to 6 Kr postage + 1 Kr order fee + 1 Kr land mail tax, 2 Kr cash on delivery commission was charged (corresponding night tax of "40" crosses including 30 Kreuzer cash on delivery fee).
