1829 (May 24): Entire letter written from Prince's Island (Büyük Ada/Prinkipo) to Milan, struck with heavy strike of SANITATIS SIGILLUM disinfection cachet in black, applied at Rothenthurm Pass near Belgrade. No other postal markings so presumably carried by hand or mailed on as an enclosure. Fresh and fine entire.
