1945, STEU MARE RARE JUDACIA STAMP. It was issued in the town of Satu-Mare (in Hungarian Szatmartnemrti or Szatmar) in early 1945 to the aid-fund of Jewish deported persons. All petitions and all official papers were obligatorily franked with these stamps during two months. This was the period of interregnum in Northern Trans-sylvania. The inscription read: For the deported persons Lei 100 in Roumanian and Hungarian. Block of 4 stamps. NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC FROM THE "JERUSALEM POST" 19.2.57
