Covers received by soldiers who survived the war are rare, because after the rendition of the Argentine Army, the British soldiers took away all their belongings. Those in existance show signs of the bad weather, and the wear resulting from being kept in the pockets of ill-equipped soldiers at war!

In the letter (with many spelling mistakes) he writes that "I spent my birthday traveling on the British ship, they treated us fairly well..., we disembarked in Puerto Madryn..., I was so overwhelmed that I cried..." Part of the text shows how many soldiers suffered neglect after their return to...

Extremely rare!
